He presumably meant tickets to visit Spain, and not cinema tix to see the film once more. Then again, Weinstein probably meant both.
At the post-preem fete at the Whiskey Blue in Westwood's W Hotel, Scarlett Johansson said she got to be a tourist in Barcelona while making the film. "I experienced it in real time -- as we shot each scene."
Pic's Rebecca Hall said she's "fantasized about playing an American in a Woody Allen film" since she was a teen. It became a reality for the British thesp after her shortest audition ever: "Woody said, 'Nice to meet you. Can you do an American accent? OK, Bye.' "
She got a call two weeks later with news that she got the part. "I was fully prepared to play a doorman in a Woody Allen film, but when I read the script and realized (it was for the part of Vicky), it was just ridiculous!," Hall said.
Allen, meanwhile, was barricaded in a booth with a supportive arm around his wife Soon-Yi Previn most of the night. He didn't really need to move, given the steady stream of well-wishers paying homage at his table, including preemgoers Salma Hayek and astronaut Buzz Aldrin.
