The helmer went on to thank his U.S. distrib, Focus Features, before joking, "I hope they can sell it, and I hope this time they deliver."
As for the film's NC-17 rating, Focus topper and pic's co-writer, James Schamus, said,"I had no doubt when we submitted it, it would be NC-17. When they gave us the rating, I accepted it without any protest because if you are a grown-up you are going to love this movie."
