Wes Anderson's stress level was high on Friday night, when his film "The Darjeeling Limited" opened the 45th New York Film Festival at Avery Fisher Hall.

"I get nervous about public speaking," Anderson admitted during the Tavern on the Green after-bash. "The movie is done. We don't have to perform it live or anything, but to have to talk in front of a big group of people before the film is terrifying."

This task was even more daunting than usual thanks to the 4,000 attendees who turned out, filling three Lincoln Center theaters. Guests included pic's Anjelica Huston, Jason Schwartzman and Bill Murray as well as Jessica Lange, Willem Dafoe, Tilda Swinton, Milos Forman and Doug Liman.
