Josh Hutcherson has a chat with helmer Jon Favreau at the 'Zathura' preem. |
WHO: Helmer Jon Favreau; adventure pic's Jonah Bobo, Josh Hutcherson, Dax Shepard and Kristen Stewart; plus producer Peter Billingsley.
WHERE: Westwood's Village Theater, followed by a fete at the Barker Hangar
THANK YOU, STEVEN: Favreau, who describes the project as a "sci-fi family adventure," said he took his cues from Steven Spielberg's films, where "in the first act, he takes a real family problem and presents it in a real unflinching way. In the second act, he solves the family's problems through the fantastic journey they go through."
MIKE LIKES IT: Preem marked Mike De Luca's first outing as a producer since leaving New Line and DreamWorks. And while most industryites wouldn't immediately think of De Luca as a PG film kind of guy, "A good story is a good story," he said.
