WHO: Pic's Kurt Russell, Dakota Fanning, Kris Kristofferson, Elisabeth Shue, David Morse, Oded Fehr and Ken Howard; helmer-scribe John Gatins; plus producers Ashok Amritraj, Brian Robbins and Michael Tollin, among others
WHERE: Westwood's Mann Village, with an after-bash at the Napa Valley Grille
LUCKY NUMBER TEN: Gatins couldn't help but notice some similarities between Russell and his on-screen daughter, Fanning, who together nurse an injured horse back to health. "At the age of 10, Kurt kicked Elvis Presley in the shins in 'It Happened at the World's Fair,' while Dakota (at 10) has already starred opposite Sean Penn, Denzel Washington and Robert De Niro," Gatins said. "I remember one day Kurt looked at Dakota and just said, 'That was me.' "
A TOUCH OF GOLD(IE): Fanning also reminds Russell of partner Goldie Hawn. "I just have a feeling that Dakota is a 10-year-old Goldie," he said. "And obviously, that's a person I like very much."
