Preemgoers get 'Going'

NEW YORK --- Gotham's literati were well-represented at the premiere of Gramercy Pictures' "Going All the Way" --- no surprise for an event whose hosts included Nan and Gay Talese, Joan Didion and husband John Gregory Dunne, as well as GQ editor-in-chief Art Cooper.

Turning out for the Sept. 4 screening at the Tribeca Film Center and following supper were producer Tom Gorai, exec producer Tom Rosenberg, director Mark Pellington and Dan Wakefield, upon whose 1970 bestseller the pic was based and who also wrote the screenplay.

Some of those attending the pleasantly low-key gathering included Kurt Vonnegut, Nora Ephron, Calvin Trillin, Buck Henry, Arthur Penn, Bruce Jay Friedman and ABC's Jeff Greenfield.

The film's stars, including Jeremy Davis, Ben Affleck and Amy Locane, were not in evidence.
