Dana Harris

Title: Editor, Strategic Projects

Email: dana.harris@variety.com

Dana Harris is the editor for Variety.com. Since joining the paper in 2000, she's covered all aspects of the Los Angeles film industry including studios, agencies, indies, film festivals, film financing and pornography. She also spent 18 months overseeing Daily Variety's lifestyle section, Variety Weekend.

Her film journalism career includes the Hollywood Reporter, serving as managing editor of the Independent Film and Video Monthly and as a film critic and feature writer for the Star-Ledger in New Jersey. However, she was also associate editor for Fine Cooking, restaurant critic for New Times and chef for a now-defunct Dallas restaurant, which explains why she spends her free time writing The Knife, a blog she created for Variety to cover Hollywood's culinary and dining concerns.
