Air Traffic - 'Fractured Life'

Air Traffic - 'A Fractured Life'

There is little on Air Traffic's debut that hasn't been done before, if not better, by other groups.

Run of the mill and lacking any edge, "Fractured Life's one catchy ditty with the most consumer appeal is the CD opener "Come On." Tracks such as "Charlotte" or "Just Abuse Me" could effortlessly slip into KROQ's '90s flashback weekend without notice. The album does a good job spotlighting Chris Wall's vocals, but too many the tunes, such as the ballads "Empty Space" and "Time Goes By," are forgettable. "Shooting Star" holds its own, but does little to elevate the album.
