Adaptated from Edgar Rice Burroughs' The Land That Time Forgot, the 'land' in question is an unchartered island, icy on the outside and smoldering within, that's populated with all sorts of big critters.

This island of Caprona is reached by a German submarine which torpedoes an English ship. The survivors, led by Doug McClure, come aboard and capture the sub. But McEnery gets it back. Then McClure takes over again. By this time, it's no wonder the sub is lost in the Antarctic. Luckily, they spot Caprona, easing the sub through an underground tunnel where it's attacked by a Mososaurus.

Somebody identifies the problem immediately. 'This can't be. These creatures have been extinct for millions of years.'
