The Hills Have Eyes Part II is a lower case followup by Wes Craven to his 1977 cult horror pic.

Film concerns two grownup survivors of the earlier pic. Young Bobby Carter (Robert Houston) is plagued by nightmares of the desert massacre that he survived. He has invented a super formula of gasoline which his local moto-cross club is testing in an upcoming race. Ruby (Janus Blythe), a nice-gal survivor, is taking the bikers to the race, when they foolishly try a shortcut across the desert.

From then on, it's dull, formula terror pic cliches, with one attractive teenager after another picked off by the surviving cannibals.

Acting is on the level of a formula shocker, featuring a winsome Candice Bergen-lookalike, Tamara Stafford, as a blind girl.
