Herbie Rides Again is Disney's sequel to The Love Bug, and a team encore for producer Bill Walsh and director Robert Stevenson. Walsh also scripted from a Gordon Buford story. It adds up, natch, to another fat plug for the Volkswagen 'bug' as the runaway (literally) titular star.

Keenan Wynn is a San Francisco construction tycoon hellbent on putting up the tallest skyscraper yet, but the plan is frustrated and ultimately foiled by sweet little old widow lady Helen Hayes. She owns the ramshackle Victorian firehouse that stands in Wynn's greedy way, and she won't budge.

Ken Berry, as Wynn's hayseed nephew lawyer from the midwest, is enlisted to pull off the trick, but instead succumbs to the charms of widow and miniskirted friend, Stefanie Powers.
