Heavy Traffic

Film Creations/Krantz. Dir Ralph Bakshi; Producer Steve Krantz; Screenplay Ralph Bakshi; Camera Ted C. Bemiller, Gregg Heschong; Editor Donald W. Ernst; Music Ray Shanklin,; Editor Bogas

After their first X-rated animated feature, Fritz the Cat, producer Steve Krantz and writer-director Ralph Bakshi turn to 'human' creatures, combining animation and live action, a blatant example of hardcore pornography.

There's something to offend everyone in this melange of crudely conceived, amateurishly animated stuff. From the one extreme of a crude sexually-oriented attack on Christianity, it manages to take a crack at every type - from the Jewish mother to the Mafia.

There are heavyhanded attempts to ridicule Godfather-attuned Italian-Americans, homosexuals, the physically deformed, capitalists and labor, slum dwellers, the Church. Even M-G-M is made a victim by the use of an insertion of scenes from the Jean Harlow- Clark Gable Red Dust.
