Rock Hudson
Diane Ladd
Barbara Carrera
Roddy McDowall
Ann Schedeen
John Elerick
Hudson plays with gentleness and restraint, and Carrera's pristine fashion-model beauty is perfect for the role, but there's little feeling of genuine passion or eroticism.
The script [from a story by Jack W. Thomas] is much stronger on plot than it is on character relationships. Suspense built up before Carrera's birth is dissipated in clumsy dramatic confrontations when she and Hudson set out in society.
Diane Ladd is wasted as Hudson's jealous housekeeper.
