Chopper Chicks in Zombietown is a surprisingly funny B-movie spoof with a feminist edge. Writer-director Dan Hoskins has a great deal of fun scrambling genres. It's a classic story of bikers invading a secluded town and rattling the suspicious populace.

At the same time, it's another classic story: the local mad scientist is killing off citizens, reviving them as zombie slaves, and generally making the town a miserable place to live. The bikers are leather-and-chain-wearing women.

Leader of the pack Rox (Catherine Carlen) is a hard-bitten (but not bad-looking) motorcycle mama who proudly proclaims herself 'a big, bad bulldyke'. Her gang, the Cycle Sluts, includes an ex-homecoming queen (Jamie Rose), an AWOL demolitions expert (Kristina Loggia) and a sex-crazed 'nymfomaniac' (Whitney Reis). The mad scientist is played by Don Calfa.

Hoskins isn't able to sustain the level of lunacy and several scenes suggest the Harley-riding actresses have been asked to vamp until a funny line comes along. Still, there is a lot to laugh about, and dialog that moviegoers will quote for days afterward. [Additional scenes directed by Rodney McDonald.]
