Veteran Hollywood screen writer Julia Cameron moved home to Chicago to produce and direct her first feature, God's Will, and discovered first-hand one of a filmmaker's worst nightmares: the production soundtrack was stolen after shooting wrapped.
As a consequence, the scenes' delicate at best under normal low-budget conditions, simply don't play right.
A plus for the Cameron family is an outstanding debut by pre-teen daughter Domenica Cameron-Scorsese (whose father is director Martin Scorsese).
Cameron's intent, obviously, was to create a lighthearted effort at family fun in which a divorced, self-centred show-business couple (Daniel Region and Laura Margolis) meet an untimely demise and wind up in heaven squabbling over what will happen now to their daughter.
The little girl has fallen into the custody of the couple's new spouses (Linda Edmond and Mitchell Canoff). Some ghostly haunting is therefore required to free Domenica into the hands of another couple preferred by the parents and the result is a romp.
