Pat Hackett and George Abagnalo wrote the script which, on a professional level, is a good piece of craftsmanship. Jed Johnson, who has edited prior Warhol pix, handles the direction in top fashion.
Baker plays a suburban Ma Barker, cherishing her TV commercial middle-class materialistic standards, while thinking nothing about her gruesome sideline. Susan Tyrrell is Baker's slovenly and abandoned daughter-in-law, complete with sniveling infant. Baker's crew of hit-persons is mainly a gaggle of slatternly young street maidens who carry out their assignments with a truly frightening aplomb.
