Maysles honored at Silverdocs

Docu filmmaker to be feted

Albert Maysles will be honored at the AFI-Discovery Channel Silverdocs fest at the Charles Guggenheim Symposium in June.

As part of the symposium, the fest will screen a collection of Maysles' docu work followed by a panel discussion.

Maysles joins past honorees including Martin Scorsese, Jim Jarmusch and Spike Lee.

Fest runs June 15-22 in the Washington, D.C., area.
