Carnahan, Fuqua on 'ICE' for NBC

Duo team on homeland security drama

NBC is developing a new take on homeland security from helmer Antoine Fuqua ("Training Day") and scribe Matthew Carnahan ("Dirt").

Fuqua, Carnahan and Michael De Luca will exec produce "ICE," which will be set in the world of the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement division of Homeland Security. Script was recently bought by NBC and would be produced through sib Universal Media Studios.

Created as part of the post-9/11 homeland security overhaul, ICE is charged with being on the lookout for the trafficking of everything that crosses the U.S. borders, from arms, drugs and counterfeit money to weapons of mass destruction, stolen antiquities and even human slaves.

Carnahan will create the project, while Fuqua will direct. Alissa Phillips and Mary Alice Haney, who originated the project, will co-produce.

Fuqua's credits include the upcoming feature "Brooklyn's Finest," while Carnahan's credits include "Fastlane." De Luca was behind "21" and "Ghostrider."
