Ford's winning short to premiere during 'Knight'

Filmaka’s panning for gold in the user-generated content stream has begun to pay off.

"Numskull" was the winning short in the Ford Motor Co.-sponsored contest Mustang Stories and will air tonight during the series preem of NBC’s "Knight Rider," which features the car.

The shorts, featuring the car company’s classic model, were directed by tyro helmers from across the globe.

"Numskull" was created by Gotham-based Zack Resnicoff and L.A. filmmaker Sonny Calderon.

About 400 scripts were submitted to the contest; "Numskull" is one of 10 winners that will be used in the 2010 Mustang’s product launch.
