WGA sets Feb. 7 for awards banquet

WGAW, WGAE to hold concurrent events

The WGA West has set Feb. 7 as the date for its awards banquet at the Century Plaza.

The guild canceled the event last February due to the strike, opting instead to hold a member meeting at which leaders explained the tentative deal reached earlier that day.

The WGA East held an informal reception Feb. 8 in New York to announce the winners. It will hold a concurrent event at the Hudson Theatre on the same night as the WGA West.

The WGA West plans to announce TV noms on Dec. 8 and film mentions on Jan. 7. Features are eligible only if they’ve been penned under the guild’s jurisdiction.
