MoveEast unveils slate
Thirteen filmmakers to compete at event
LONDON -- Thirteen debut filmmakers will compete for a $15,000 top prize at Hungary's MoveEast Film Festival in October.The fourth edition of the fest, which is held in Pecs, where the Hungarian Film Week was founded 40 years ago before moving to Budapest, is devoted to first-time directors from Hungary and other countries in the region.
The competition slate -- chosen from among 31 35mm features produced during 2007 -- include productions from Croatia, the Czech Republic, Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Ukraine and Hungary.
