Fiction Festival kicks off in Italy
ROME -- The Rome Fiction Fest gave Italy's insular TV world a healthy jolt of international star wattage strutting down the Adriano theater's orange carpet from July 7-12.Patricia Arquette came to tubthump "Medium," currently conquering Italo auds; Kim Cattrall arrived for "Sex and the City," which is still going strong, Christopher Meloni was on hand for "Law & Order"; William Baldwin, Peter Krause and Natalie Zia promoted "Dirty Sexy Money"; and Balthazar Getty, Luke Macfarlane and Dave Annable were in town for "Brothers & Sisters," which is an Italo hit.
Helen Mirren, who was honored with the fest's Maximo Award, told reporters she has done her best work for TV rather than film, despite her Oscar-winning perf in "The Queen."
