Golden Trailer Awards honor previews

' Dark Knight,' 'Tropic Thunder' take prizes

Several films were honored with Golden Trailer awards Thursday night at the 9th annual Golden Trailer Awards at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles.

Among the 16 trailers honored were "The Dark Knight," for best action trailer, by Intralink Films, and Ben Stiller's comedy, "Tropic Thunder," by Buddha Jones, for best comedy trailer. The Ant Farm's trailer for "Iron Man" took the Summer 2008 Blockbuster prize.

The event was hosted by Sinbad and will be broadcast nationally on May 26 on MyNetworkTV where the Trailer of the Year will be announced, to be selected for the first time by the public from the 16 winning trailers for each category.
