HOLLYWOOD -- "I hope I can always walk worthy of this award," Janet Jackson said while accepting the Vanguard Award at the 19th annual GLAAD Media Awards at the Kodak Theater on Saturday.Ellen DeGeneres presented the award to Jackson and joked: "I looked up the Vanguard Award, and the people who have won before are Liza Minnelli and Elizabeth Taylor; both have had their picture taken with Michael Jackson. Coincidence, I don't know, I'm just saying, I've never had my picture taken with Michael Jackson, and I've never won this award."
Kathy Griffin took home a prize for "My Life on the D-List" and got the crowd laughing when she brought her mother, Maggie, onstage to quiz her about her knowledge of the LGBT community.
