'Lion King' roars; 'Jersey' scores

NEW YORK -- The road rolled downhill a little less than 4% in Week 46 (April 7-13), with a little shove from the "High School Musical" layoff week.

"The Lion King" brought home the most this week: The Disney tuner's week in Atlanta grossed $1,443,980.

"Jersey Boys" broke the house record in Minneapolis with $1,373,195, and while the touring production of "Wicked" dropped about $130,000 in its transition to a smaller venue, it still broke the house record in Charlotte, N.C., with $1,338,463.

"Avenue Q," too, was down in transition, dropping about $400,000 between Tampa, Fla., and Columbus, Ohio.

"Mamma Mia!" did well in Vancouver, B.C., pulling in $140,000 more than last week.
