'Idol' producer ups senior VP to executive status

"American Idol" and "Price Is Right" producer FremantleMedia North America has upped Dan Goldberg to exec VP of production.

Goldberg will oversee physical production on all of the studio's shows, including "Idol," "America's Got Talent" and "Family Feud." He'll also be in charge of finance matters related to those skeins.

"Dan is a key part of our North American operations," said Cecile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of FMNA.

Goldberg, who reports directly to Frot-Coutaz, had previously been senior VP of current programming at the company. Before joining FMNA, he was exec in charge of production at Mike Fleiss's Next Entertainment, where he worked on skeins such as "The Bachelorette" and "Are You Hot?"

Exec's other credits include "Temptation Island 2" and "Who Wants to Marry A Multi-Millionaire."
