ContentFilm picks up 'Balibo'

Thrillers stars Anthony LaPaglia

LONDON — ContentFilm Intl. has acquired worldwide rights outside Australia and New Zealand to Robert Connolly's upcoming project "Balibo," a true-life thriller starring Anthony LaPaglia.

Movie is about an Australian journalist caught up in the Indonesian invasion of East Timor in 1975. Shooting is set for early 2008.

Content is co-financing the movie with Australia's FCC and regional body Film Victoria.

Connolly co-wrote the screenplay with David Williamson ("Gallipoli," "The Year of Living Dangerously"). John Maynard and Rebecca Williamson are the producers.
