'Love' takes three at Copenhagen
'Children' wins best film
STOCKHOLM -- Icelandic pic “Children,” directed by Ragnar Bragason, netted the Golden Swan for best film at the Copenhagen Intl. Film Festival while Swedish pic “To Love Someone” walked away with the most -- three --Saturday.Pic's Sofia Ledarp won actress, and its Danish scripter Kim Fupz Aakeson won screenplay and an honorary award.
Israeli-French pic “The Band's Visit” won the audience award and the grand jury special prize.
Marius Holst took helming honors for Norwegian pic “Mirush.”
Mathieu Amalric took actor for French pic “Heartbeat Detector.”
The cinematography kudo went to Giles Nuttgens for British pic “Hallam Foe.”
The jury consisting of producer Katinka Farago, director Bent Hamer, and thesps Makram Khoury, Tuncel Kurtiz and Sofie Grabol.
The Alice Award for female director, which had a separate jury, went to Marion Hansel for Belgium-France co-production “Sounds of Sand.”
