Actors set sights on 'Hitman'

Scott, Olyphant to star in action film

Dougray Scott will star alongside Timothy Olyphant in Luc Besson-produced actioner "The Hitman" for 20th Century Fox.

Olga Kurylenko ("Paris je t'aime"), Robert Knepper ("Prison Break"), Ulrich Thomsen ("Festen") and Michael Offei ("Casino Royale") also have joined the cast of the vidgame adaptation.

Tyro director Xavier Gens begins lensing the thriller this week in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia. Pic also will be shot in South Africa, Istanbul, St. Petersburg and London.

Besson is producing through his Europa Corp., along with Chuck Gordon and Adrian Askarieh. Daniel Alter is co-producer.

Olyphant will play Agent 47, a hitman who ends up being chased himself by Interpol and the Russian military.

Scott plays the antagonist.

Europa Corp. distribution will release the pic in France; Fox takes the rest of the world.
