HBO shores up 'Levee'
Lee doc to storm cabler
NEW YORK -- Spike Lee will produce and direct a documentary about the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans for HBO.Working title is "When the Levee Broke." Network confirmed the project and Lee's involvement but declined to elaborate on details. Lee hasn't begun shooting the docu; he's putting the finishing touches on "The Inside Man" for Universal and Brian Grazer. Denzel Washington, Jodie Foster and Clive Owen star.
HBO has a history with Lee: Cabler premiered his 1997 docu "4 Little Girls," which told the story of the Sept. 15, 1963, bombing of a black church in Birmingham, Ala., that killed four children. Doc also saw theatrical release.
