Italo reality show now in 'Fashion'

Primetime sales confirmed across Europe

ROME -- Italy's Fact Based Communications is launching reality show "Fashion House," inviting fashion students to work in Rome for the chance to win an internship with Brit designer Stella McCartney.

Now in production in Rome, show will pit teams of five from the U.K., Sweden, Italy and France, and is slated to unveil in primetime on Channel 4 for the U.K., MTV in Italy and TV3 for Sweden. Sales are still pending in France and other Euro territories.

Nokia is the show's main sponsor.

On Sept. 28, the teams converge in Rome, where they will work and live in the Accademia della Moda (Costume & Fashion Academy) for seven weeks.

Their creations will be voted on by home auds via mobile phone text messages, fixed phone or interactive television voting.

Fashion industry celebs including McCartney and Donatella Versace will make guest appearances.

"We have developed a format that highlights the flair and know-how of European designers, while giving these young designers the chance of fulfilling their dream,'' FBC prexy-CEO Alan Friedman said.

Series will end with a catwalk event when an international jury will nominate the winner among the four national finalists.
