Berlin taps Nikitin

Schnitt editor to advise on film selection, relations

The Berlin Intl. Film Festival has appointed Nikolaj Nikitin, editor-in-chief and publisher of German film magazine Schnitt, as new foreign delegate for Eastern Europe.

Nikitin, a native of Moscow, will advise the Berlinale in the selection of films and in cultural and economic relations with Belarus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine.
