U TV taps Thelander exec VP & CFO

Global finance, sales admin, distribution among duties

Beverly Thelander has been tapped executive VP and chief financial officer of Universal Television and Networks Group. She will report to division chairman Blair Westlake.

In her new role, Thelander will be responsible for overseeing UT&NG's global finance operations, as well as sales administration and distribution activities. As a key member of the executive management team, she will also assist in providing business leadership and direction to UT&NG's operation units and support functions and have an active role in managing the group's information technology activities.

Thelander joins Universal from Atlantic Richfield Co., where she held various key financial positions since 1981, most recently serving as VP of investor relations, communications and public affairs.
