Col TriStar TV names Ventani VP

New VP to spearhead studio's Asian sales

Pietro Ventani has been tapped VP of sales for Columbia TriStar Intl. TV (CTIT) and will spearhead the studio's sales efforts throughout Asia.

Ventani, who brings nearly a decade of experience to the position, will replace Todd Miller, who was recently promoted to managing director of the studio's AXN action channel in the region.

An industry vet, Ventani has been credited with developing groundbreaking marketing and sales programs. While managing director of Buena Vista Columbia TriStar Asia, he led the company to dominate the region in industry practice and market share.

Based in Singapore, Ventani will be relocating to Hong Kong.

"Pietro's reputation as a pioneer with breakthrough ideas and innovative business practices will further the strides CTIT has made in the Asian region," said exec VP and managing director for Asia William Pfeiffer.

Ventani is attending the L.A. Screenings this week in order to meet with the studio's Asian clients.
