'Freedom' marches on sans Spano

Thesp next seen in Dimension's 'Rangers'

Vincent Spano is out as the lead in “Freedom,” the new UPN action series from Joel Silver’s Silver Pictures and Warner Bros. Television.

Spano’s reps at Innovative Artists Agency had no comment.

Spano had signed to star as Col. Cally Beach, a gutsy Marine in charge of an elite, covert military unit (Daily Variety, April 14).

Thesp, whose feature credits include “Baby, It’s You” and “Alive,” will next appear in Dimension Films’ “Texas Rangers,” with Dylan McDermott and James Van Der Beek.
