A&E ups Dolan to docu Veepee

Exec to o'see 'Biography'

NEW YORK -- CarolAnne Dolan has been promoted to the newly created position of VP, documentary programming and administration, at A&E Television Networks.

Previously director in the same department, Dolan will take charge of production, editorial content and programming strategy for the "Biography" series and oversee programming on A&E's digital spinoff, the Biography Channel.

"Under CarolAnne's leadership, 'Biography' has become the top series on cable television," said A&E exec VP and general manager Brooke Bailey Johnson. "Her intelligence, integrity and humor also set a standard for programming executives in this industry."

Prior to joining the cabler in 1995, Dolan was senior manager of acquisitions on the National Geographic Television series "Explorer."
