Sundance Channel picks 26 flicks
Network acquires films for Rainbow premiere

Sundance Channel has acquired 26 independent films that will premiere on the Rainbow Media cabler in 2009.

Among them are television debuts of three David Lynch features --"Inland Empire" (2006), a restored version of his 1977 cult pic "Eraserhead" and a collection of shorts -- as well as "Lynch," a documentary about the alternative filmmaker.

Also included in the haul are "Let's Get Lost" (1989), "Chop Suey" (2000) and a shorts anthology by fashion photog-turned-filmmaker Bruce Weber.

Irena Salina's docu "Flow: For the Love of Water," a grand jury prize nominee at the 2008 Sundance Festival, and Shira Geffen and Etgar Keret's "Jellyfish," which snagged Golden Camera and Screenwriting awards at Cannes in 2007, were also part of the package.
