The Maryland Filmmakers Fellowship has been awarded to Andrew Dosunmu and Darci Picoult to continue development of their feature "Mother of George," about an African woman's struggle to reconcile her heritage and her new life in America. Fellowship, presented in conjunction with the Producers Club of Maryland, provides a $10,000 grant for pre-production expenses, including casting, location spotting and budgeting.

Producing partners T. Todd Flinchum and Alicia Kratzer are the recipients of the Mark Silverman Fellowship for New Producers, an award established as a tribute to the indie producer. Pair, who formed CLC Films in 1994, will receive a cash grant of $5,000 for work on "Dreamland," their upcoming project on the Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.

Sundance has awarded the inaugural Lynn Auerbach Screenwriting Fellowship to scribe Jake Mahaffy to continue work on "Free in Deed," about a religious man who attempts to perform a miracle. Fellowship was created in memory of Auerbach, who died in 2004. Recipients will receive a $2,500 grant.
