Paltrow's 'Dealbreaker' in Sundance shorts competition

Gwyneth Paltrow hasn't forgotten the subtleties of Hollywood dealmaking.

The London resident and second-time mom-to-be made sure to secure remake rights when she inked a deal to write and direct a short film with childhood friend Mary Wigmore, and the two are now looking to turn the short into a feature.

Paltrow and Wigmore's "Dealbreaker" won a slot in the shorts competition at Sundance, and the pregnant Paltrow turned up to attend the preem last week. She came to Park City strictly as a scribe-helmer, as she doesn't star in the short.

Project is among five shorts written and directed by women and produced by Glamour magazine in tandem with commercial shingle Moxie Prods. Storylines were developed from true tales submitted by Glamour readers.

Wigmore and Paltrow's film follows the dating adventures of a 30-year-old New Yorker.
