'Cajas' makes short circuit
Edwards & Gualda pic to head to Pars, Lisbon, Winterthur

Spanish Panorama short "Cajas" (Boxes) has been selected for Paris Signes de Nuits, Lisbon's Setube short film festival and the Intl. Short Film Festival, Winterthur in Switzerland. Directed by Madrid-based Yank Hans Edwards and Spain's Victor Gualda, pic is shot from the zonked POV of a drugged-out teenager during one desperate night in Madrid. "Pic's really about social alienation, its causes and results," Edwards told Variety.

Gualda and Edwards are now writing a screenplay about a boy from a utopian childrens society who is sent to a real, modern-day city.
