'Greek' duo reunite for 'Valentine's Day'
Vardalos, Corbett reteam on comedy

Nia Vardalos and John Corbett will reunite on the bigscreen for the first time since "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" in romantic comedy "I Hate Valentine's Day," which Vardalos wrote and will helm in her feature directorial debut.

Production is set to begin June 23.

Lakeshore Intl. is repping international rights in the Cannes market.

Blue Star Entertainment's William Sherak and Jason Shuman are producing with My Bench Prods.' Madeleine Sherak. David Hutkin and Vivian Tarn's ICB Entertainment is fully financing.

Described as a comedy for the romantically challenged, "Valentine's Day" revolves around a romantic, carefree florist who charms a commitment-phobic restaurant owner into trying her theory of "relationship-less" dating.

"I am so happy John jumped in and really look forward to working with him -- and kissing him -- again," Vardalos said.

"My Big Fat Greek Wedding" remains the most successful platform release of all time, grossing $241.4 million domestically and another $127.3 million internationally.

Vardalos recently wrapped production on "My Life in Ruins," also starring Richard Dreyfuss, Harland Williams and Rachel Dratch. Corbett will next be in theaters with "Baby on Board," starring Heather Graham, Jerry O'Connell and Lara Flynn Boyle.

Lakeshore Intl. is also selling international rights to MGM's remake "Fame."
