Title: Correspondent
Jay Weissberg joined Variety in 2003 as a reviewer of Italian films. A monumental move to Rome from New York dropped him a few miles from Cinecittà, and brought him closer to the Pordenone Silent Film Festival. In the U.S., he was a researcher at the Photofest film stills archive, and he continues to divide his interests between film and art history by working in the world of Old Master drawings.
