Arthur Jones reported for Variety from China from late 2001-mid 2007. Prior to that, he ran a local city magazine called "That's Shanghai," and wrote regularly for the South China Morning Post, Asiaweek and the Far East Economic Review, and less regularly for Time Asia, Screen International and National Geographic Online. In between keeping an eye on the burgeoning Chinese film industry, he is also partner in a production company called LOStPENSIVOS that makes documentaries and film shorts in the U.K. and China.
