Before switching to the daily paper, Shalini Dore was assistant managing editor of special reports, editor of the weekly TV section and designed the VPage. She previously worked at various consumer newspapers ringing Los Angeles. She has been teaching at UCLA Extension for the past 10 years, most recently online. When she's not working she practices yoga and is trying to perfect her breathing techniques.
