Arti Mathur has covered Indian film and television industry for Variety since July, 1998. When wearing her other hat, she lectures on English Literature to undergrads at University of Delhi. She claims that sleepless nights since the birth of her son, Satyajit, in June 2002 have helped her beat the time difference between South Delhi and Southern California and given her more time to write for Variety. An avid globetrotter on her travels abroad, she samples the world's cuisines and expensive perfumes.
