Kudo will be presented at the 20th Annual PGA Awards on Jan. 24 at the Hollywood Palladium.
Besides being the creative force behind "The Sopranos," Chase's other credits include "Northern Exposure," "I'll Fly Away" and "The Rockford Files." He's won four Emmys, three PGA Awards, a DGA Award and a Golden Globe.
"For over thirty years, David Chase has defined breakthrough television," said awards co-chairs David T. Friendly and Laurence Mark. "His shows have always charted new territory and entertained audiences while maintaining the highest level of quality in the industry."
Past recipients include Dick Wolf, Jerry Bruckheimer, Norman Lear, John Wells, Lorne Michaels, Bud Yorkin, Carsey-Werner-Mandabach, David L. Wolper, Don Hewitt, Garry K. Marshall, Aaron Spelling, Steven Bochco and David E. Kelley.
