CineAsia will honor Chinese actress Zhou Xun with this year’s star of the year kudo at its convention in Hong Kong Dec. 8-10.

The star of “The Equation of Love and Death” was honored with the actress nod at the Asian Film Awards earlier this year. After starting off with popular Chinese television series, she starred in “Suzhou River” in 2000, then “Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress.”

She also appears in three films in China this year, including “Confucius” with Chow Yun-fat and “True Legend” with Michelle Yeoh.
