"This is an event by publicists, for publicists, honoring publicists yet nobody knows about it because it's not publicized," host Billy Bush joked in his opening remarks at the luncheon, to the delight of the flack-filled room.
The Les Mason Award, the highest publicity honor at the gala, went to Warner Bros. Intl. praiser Mary Hunter.
Harrison Ford and Judd Apatow added some star power to the gala, with Ford earning a lifetime achievement nod and Apatow earning kudos for Motion Picture Showman of the Year.
"It feels great to be awarded the publicity whore of the year. I was happy to do it and you are all my pimps," said Apatow upon collecting his statuette.
Warner Bros. TV prexy Peter Roth was given the Television Showman of the Year nod.
Recent Oscar-nominee Hal Holbrook gave out the Press Award to Susan Wloszczyna from USA Today. Variety's Anne Thompson was a nominee in that category.
Dolph Lundgren handed out the Intl. Media Award to French journalist Didier Allouch.
The Excellence in Unit Still Photography Award went to Francois Duhamel.
