Helmer Peter Flinth's historical epic "Arn: The Kingdom at Road's End," produced by Valdemar Bergendahl for Svensk, will receive $1.4 million; comedy "Anyway, the Weather Was Fine Again," helmed by Kjell-Ake Andersson and produced by Peter Kropenin for Sonet Films, gets $1.3 million; and cop thriller "GSI," helmed by Anders Nilsson and produced by Joakim Hansson for Modern Studios, gets $900,000.
The marketing support is aimed at films with a broad public potential. The institute will also consider the track records of the helmer and the producer, and how much of the finance has been secured before making an award.
