John McTiernan will helm "Run," a $30 million action-thriller to star Karl Urban ("The Lord of the Rings," "The Bourne Supremacy").

Urban plays an Interpol agent who, while pursuing a murder suspect, uncovers a fraud conspiracy. The actioner's script reportedly has 100 pages of car chases. Pic will start lensing in August and post in London.

Producers are Michael Pierce and Mark Williams; exec producer is Future Films topper Stephen Margolis.

Pic is the third teaming for L.A.-based management-production shingle Pierce/Williams and London-based finance brokers Future Films, which recently opened a Los Angeles office in order to step up U.S. production involvement.

Their first collaboration was diamond heist drama "Flawless," starring Demi Moore and Michael Caine. (Pic is about to announce a U.S. distribution pact.) Second film, thriller "The Canyon," is shooting in Utah, toplining Will Patton ("A Mighty Heart") and Eion Bailey ("Band of Brothers").

Arclight is handling international sales on "Run."
